Ben Beamish?

Ben Beamish is a distinguished Australian singer-songwriter and producer with a deep passion for music and education. Currently signed to Wise Music Publishing as a songwriter and Orenda Records as an artist, Ben has collaborated with prominent figures in the Australian music scene, including Dean Lewis, Jack Vidgen, Isiah Firebrace, and Sheldon Riley.

  • How do you run the songwriting and recording workshop?

    We do four, one hour weekly sessions in groups of one to three participants of similar ages.

  • When do I have to pay and what if I miss a week?

    Payment is due up front to secure your booking. Due to the fact that this is a set course, there are no make up sessions possible if you miss a week.

  • What age groups do you take?

    Ages 10 and above.

  • What styles of music do you do?

    All styles of contemporary music are encouraged, including pop, rock, jazz, blues, soul and world music.

  • Do I have to be able to play an instrument or sing to participate?

    Being able to play an instrument is an advantage and basic knowledge of a chordal instrument such as piano or guitar is desirable but not essential. You don’t have to be a great singer as the course is more about writing good songs.

  • Do I have to perform my songs?

    You are very much encouraged to perform your songs at out regular music school concert days and we can assist with live musicians to support you. This is however, optional.

  • When are the workshops on?

    We currently run the workshops on Sundays and Mondays.

  • Where are you located?

    We have a dedicated house at 747 Logan Rd Greenslopes with spacious studios, computers loaded with teaching resources, musical instruments, a comfortable waiting room and great atmosphere.
