Our contemporary courses are a great way to give your child an incentive and easily attainable short term goals. Our practical examinations comprise the presentation of work in the following areas: theory and technical work; reading and set pieces; aural tests; improvisation and the performance of chosen pieces. This includes performing live with professional musicians covering the syllabus, adding the thrill of playing in a live band situation. Having achieved this, students will often choose to join one of our young bands, where they will really get the live music bug and look forward to their practice so that they can sound great with their fellow band members.

Our teaching studios are set up with computers loaded with the latest software and a massive library of songs, guitar technique studies and guitar solos. We use programs such as PowerTab Editor and Guitar Pro which have musical notation aligned with tablature and also enable audio playback at slow speed for students to play along with.

In your first lesson your teacher will demonstrate and give you a play on different types of guitars and ascertain which will suit your chosen music style and direction best. We can then put you in contact with some of our close music shop partners who will give the best service in choosing a great guitar as well as a great price.
