Your first bass lesson is always special to us as we discuss your personal musical goals, stylistic preferences, assess your playing abilities, and agree on a plan to turn your musical dreams into reality.
For complete beginners, your bass guitar tuition starts with learning how to read music rhythms and melodies using Mark’s personally written book, ”Contemporary Bass Guitar Essentials’’.
In conjunction with this, we teach you how to play the correct notes and rhythms to go with chords charts of your favorite songs. Hot bass guitar riffs are also easy to learn using professional guitar tablature. We always tie in the understanding of music theory and chord harmony as each song is played and analysed.
In your private lessons your regular teacher will introduce all the essential skills in our teaching syllabus which has a proven track record.
