Mark Hope - Principal Tutor
Mark's ambition was to build a school that catered for each individual student's needs using the latest music software and learning materials.
Mark has been a professional musician for 25 years. He has a diversity of performance experience crossing many musical styles including jazz, blues & rock bands and original bands. He has also supported many national and international touring artists such as Peter Allen, Julie Anthony, Simon Gallagher, The Platters, Doug Parkinson and Al Martino.

This experience is backed with classical qualifications from the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB).

Mark has the ability to guide a student who is a beginner to becoming a competent musician. In all of his lessons he encourages students to learn good rhythm techniques, study reading, theory and improvisation, and play songs and pieces that they personally enjoy.

As part of providing a solid teaching syllabus, Mark has personally authored two tutorial books.
'Contemporary Guitar Essentials' and 'Contemporary Bass Guitar Essentials' provide solid fundamentals in reading, theory, harmony and technical studies and are availble online and at the studio.
Mark has also installed web cameras in each studio so that video and audio tutorials may be easily produced in the lesson for students to take home.

For those students interested in writing and performing their own songs, Mark records their original songs and educates the student in how to produce a finished musical product. Many of Mark's students have achieved success in various song writing competitions and have gone on to perform in their own bands.

Mark has also helped many students gain entrance into various tertiary institutions such as the Griffith Conservatorium in contemporary, classical and jazz studies.
